di Simone Focardi – C’è chi gli ama percorrerli a piedi magari in compagnia dei suoi bastoncini da passeggio, ma i più energici e adrenalitici amano percorrere questi sentieri che furono già dei partigiani in sella a speciali biciclette.

Sono quei “matti” che spesso si incontrano nelle piazzole a far scendere dai  furgoni fiammanti due ruote gommatissime a fuori strada e a propulsione… a muscolo.
Prendendo a prestito un termine yankee che a loro piace, sono i bikers, quelli che non si accontentano però dell’asfalto o tutt’al più delle strade bianche sterrate.
Loro sono quelli che si lanciano a rotta di collo all’interno dei sentieri dei boschi e non hanno paura di nulla: pioggia, gelo vento, fango, rami sporgenti, pietre e dislivelli.
Forse per loro, la pinza del freno nella bici è un optional, ma ammirarli nella loro incoscienza sbarazzina, specie quando gareggiano è davvero entusiasmante.

L’occasione per farlo c’ è il 1° maggio a Marradi quando, alle 9,30 in Viale della Repubblica è fissata la partenza della terza prova del circito a tappe dell’Emilia-Romagna Cup, competizione di federazione ciclistica italiana.
Uno sconfinamento in terra di Toscana che porterà al via nella cittadina mugellana circa 300 bikers e tutti nomi grossi di questo sport.

Il percorso, altamente suggestivo, ma tecnico ed impegnativo per gli altleti in gara si snoderà tutto nei sentieri intorno al paese. Una giornata speciale per vedere all’opera atleti scavezzacollo… da non perdere.

The course, highly suggestive, but technical and challenging for the athletes in the race will unfold all the trails around the country. A special day to see the work daredevil athletes … not to be missed.
