di Stefania Pianigiani – A primavera i giardini, fanno bella mostra di se, solleticando tutti nostri sensi. L’aria danza di pollini e il nuovo risveglio della natura produce una grande varietà di fiori.
Li vedi spuntare, ora qua ora là, a ogni volger di sguardo: bianchi, gialli, bicolori, colorati e possenti; a guardia di una splendida villa fatta a ferro di cavallo che si erge tra le bordure all’inglese o al margine del bosco, con aiuole gentilizie che si affacciano sul lembo di una conca ridente; sono i narcisi di Villa la Pescigola.

I proprietari, Adriana Hedges e suo marito, hanno trasformato il vecchio giardino all’italiana in un parco romantico all’inglese, prendendo spunto da un antico dipinto collocato su una porta del salone della dimora. La casa, compare quasi magicamente tra gli alberi e il verde; grande, ma allo stesso tempo intima e raccolta, piena di vita vissuta e di memorie del passato.

La tenuta è posta in quella lingua di Lunigiana che confina con le terre liguri ed emiliane ed ospita esemplari antichi di cedri atlantici e soprattutto ben 150.000 narcisi suddivisi in quattrocento varietà la cui esuberanza delle piantagioni, è attenuata dall’armonia dei colori. Antiche e nuove specie di questo fiore, allo stesso tempo umile e ricercato dai colori rosa corallo e salmone, si fondono in un caleidoscopio di figure colorate.

Nelle varie aiuole si trovano i “Narcisi dei Poeti”, con fiori profumatissimi e semplici, bianchi, con una piccola corona gialla, orlata di rosso, ma anche gli “Incomparabili”, spuntano qua e la, con la sua corona aperta e increspata.
L’erba cresce rigogliosa nei prati e con i ricami dei fiori, sembra una coperta delle favole.

Il viale principale che porta alla dimora, è costeggiato da una siepe di bosso:passeggiando poi, si scoprono fonti, grotteschi e quelle peschiere che danno il nome alla villa.

L’importante lavoro di ristrutturazione ha lasciato intatta la bellezza primaverile del giardino con i bulbi di tromboncini e tulipani, ma ha anche migliorato le “broderies”, ovvero le bordure settecentesche che incorniciano il verde. Infine ecco le terrazze che scendono pian piano verso il bosco dei pini con aiuole libere e piccole macchie di bulbi, per arrivare poi al dedalo, la parte più importante della villa.
Una banda di oltre 50.000 tromboni (i narcisi si chiamano anche così), è intenta a intonare i colori e le forme geometriche di queste splendido labirinto, intervallato da piccole siepi di bosso nano. Un dedalo che offre una successione di quadri fioriti disposti e curati alla perfezione.
Vasi di limoni, piramidi di verde scolpite con l’arte topiaria, cigni e pavoni illuminano l’insieme, sorvegliati dai busti di marmo posti lungo il grande muro di pietra che delimita il perimetro del parco. Due colonne sormontate da sculture di gentili messeri di altri tempi, fanno da apripista alla scalinata che pian piano scende per i prati verdi, intervallati da aree riservate ai tulipani e agli iris.

Eccovi qua, per il settimo anno consecutivo a Villa La Pescigola davanti alla più grande fioritura di narcisi in un parco privato d’Italia!
Quest’anno il Festival dei Narcisi, ha aperto le sue porte il 23 marzo per richiuderle il 114 aprile, a fioritura ultimata. Per quelli che più amano questi fiori sarà possibile anche prenotare i bulbi.
Ve l’abbiamo voluto raccontare con questa visione di sogno, quasi anestetizzati da quest’esplosione di fiori, verde, geometrie, forme, e figure di sogno. E siamo certi che resterete ammaliati anche voi…

The owners, Adriana Hedges and her husband, have transformed the old Italian garden in a romantic English park, taking a cue from an old painting placed on a door of the hall of residence. The house, almost magically appear through the trees and the green, great, but at the same time intimate, full of real life and memories of the past.

The estate is located in the strip of Lunigiana which borders the lands of Liguria and Emilia Romagna and is home to ancient specimens of Atlantic cedars and above 150,000 daffodils divided into four varieties whose exuberance of the plantations, is attenuated by the harmony of colors. Old and new species of this flower at the same time humble and sought after by pink coral and salmon, combine in a kaleidoscope of colorful figures.

In the various flower beds are the “Daffodils of Poets”, with fragrant flowers and simple, white, with a small yellow crown, edged with red, but also the “peerless”, sprouting here and there, with his crown open and rippled.

The grass grows abundantly in the meadows and the embroidery of flowers, it looks like a blanket of fairy tales.

The main avenue leading to the house, is bordered by a hedge of boxwood: walking then you will discover sources, grotesque and those ponds that give the name to the villa.

The important work of restoration has left intact the beauty of the garden with spring bulbs of daffodils and tulips, but also improved the “broderies”, ie the borders framing the eighteenth green. Finally, here are the terraces that descend slowly towards the forest of pine trees with flower beds free and small patches of bulbs, and finally to the maze, the most important part of the villa.

A gang of more than 50,000 daffodils (narcissus are also called it that), is intent to sing the colors and geometric shapes of these wonderful maze, punctuated by small hedges of boxwood nano. A maze that offers a series of paintings arranged flowers and manicured to perfection.

Lemon vases, carved with the pyramids of green topiary, swans and peacocks illuminate the set, watched over by marble busts of great places along the stone wall that borders the perimeter of the park. Two columns topped by sculptures of kind sirs of other times, they lead the way to the staircase that descends slowly to the green meadows, interspersed with areas reserved for tulips and irises.

Here you are, for the seventh consecutive year at Villa La Pescigola front of the longest blooming daffodils in a private park in Italy!

This year the Festival of Daffodils, opened its doors on March 23 to close them on 114 April, flowering is completed. For the ones that love these flowers you can also book the bulbs.
