Il calendario è ricchissimo di appuntamenti tra convivialità, cultura del gusto e valore del cibo. Parteciperanno con i loro prodotti, dal vino ai salumi ai formaggi, le maggiori e più prestigiose aziende agricole della provincia, mentre chef, esperti enogastronomici, enologi, operatori del settore accompagneranno buyers, ospiti e cittadini nel viaggio alla scoperta dei sapori di questa terra meravigliosa.
Tantissimi eventi per grandi e piccini, esperti e neofiiti nella tre giorni fra cui un laboratorio del gusto per bimbi che si cimenteranno alla scoperta con un a “caccia al cacio” per riconoscere i formaggi maremmani; un pomeriggio itinerante col “Golosario” di Palo Massobrio accompagnato dai canti dei Briganti di Maremma per le vie del centro. Poi ancora cinema e vino con curiosi abbinamenti fra vini e film e poi tante degustazioni, show cooking e molto altro ancora.
E non finisce qui perchè Maremma WineFood Shire è anche Festa della Maremma, un contenitore più ampio ed ancora più ambizioso, volto allo sviluppo economico del territorio, che allarga il calendario delle iniziative dalla città agli altri comuni del territorio.

di Nadia Fondelli – E’ appena iniziata la lunga stagione d’apertura (lo sarà fino al 27 ottobre) del “cielo” del Duomo di Siena.
Salendo per gli 85 gradini di un’ardita scala a chiocciola che, dal lato della gotica facciata si arrampica su, pare davvero di toccare il cielo.
Il titolo dato all’evento di “La porta del cielo” per queste imperdibili ed uniche visite guidate è dunque più che azzeccato.
Alcuni anni fa, la nostra redazione, quando gestiva Chianti News fu invitata in anteprima a visitare il grande cantiere work in progress e, parlando con la collega che ebbe l’onore di quell’esclusiva devo dire che il durante e il dopo confermano davvero la grandiosità del restauro.
Non fosse altro che l’aver recuperato le straordinarie capriate in legno semidistrutte dalle termiti e bonificato tutti gli ambienti che altro non erano che suite esclusive per i piccioni senesi…
In effetti la nostra inviata speciale nel “cielo” senese ancora da recuperare, ai tempi rimase stupita della mole di lavoro lungo e paziente che si stava svolgendo e durante la visita odierna si è stupita ancora di più del compimento positivo di quell’immane lavoro.
Forse noi più di altri possiamo raccontare di quel cielo avendo avuto la fortuna di seguirlo “work in progress”; forse ci siamo emozionati più di altri nel salire quelle scale a chiocciola, nell’affacciarsi sull’esterno ed interno del capolavoro senese per ammirare la grandiostà della maestria dell’arte e gli affacci straordinari sulla Montagnola, sui rossi tetti senesi, sulla basilica di San Domenico e sul Campo.
Il Duomo di Siena non finisce davvero di sorprendere. Ancora incantati dalla riscoperta dello straordinario pavimento fatto di tarsie disegnate dai più grandi maestri della storia ed ammirati già in due anni da migliaia di persone dovremo, dopo aver abbassato gli occhi, alzarli verso il cielo; la dove dopo 85 scalini ci troveremo a camminare, toccando davvero il cielo in un percorso unico.
Lunghi e faticosi restauri ci restituiscno ogg la visione di una serie di locali, mai aperti al pubblico e in cui per secoli nessuno è potuto accedere.
Dopo gli 85 scalini a chiocciola, quasi segreti perché nascosti alla vista dei visitatori e che si trovano all’interno della torre di una delle due guglie della facciata, quasi all’improvviso, siamo sopra le volte stellate della navata destra e da qui ha inizio un percorso speciale, un itinerario riservato a piccoli gruppi che riserva una serie di scoperte ed emozioni.
Imperdibili ed uniche le suggestive viste “dentro” e “fuori” della cattedrale. Spettacolari le vetrate di Ulisse De Matteis con la rappresentazione degli Apostoli, la vista dall’alto del magico pavimento e dei principali monumenti scultorei, dell’interno della cupola con il ‘Pantheon’ dei santi senesi, i quattro Patroni, santa Caterina e san Bernardino, i ‘giganti’ dorati che proteggono dall’alto la comunità dei fedeli.
Si percorre poi il ballatoio della cupola dal quale si contempla l’altar maggiore, la copia della vetrata di Duccio di Buoninsegna, con al centro la mandorla di Maria Assunta, e i capolavori scultorei.
E “fuori” dalla cattedrale ecco l’ affaccio, della navata sinistra, se uno splendido panorama. L’Amiata, la Montagnola senese, le colline laggiù e, sotto la basilica di San Domenico, i tetti rossi di Siena e l’ardita torre del Mangia che domina il Campo.
Si entra infine dietro il prospetto della facciata nel terrazzino che si affaccia su Piazza del Duomo con la vista dello Spedale di S. Maria della Scala e si accede al ballatoio della controfacciata da dove si ha una vista generale sulla navata centrale e lo sguardo è accompagnato dal ritmo scandito dalle teste dei papi e degli Imperatori, attraverso le tarsie con i filosofi del mondo antico che proferiscono sentenze.
Un escursione unica da non perdere. Un’ora e mezzo di magia fra arte e cielo…

After 85 steps, spiral, almost secret hidden from view because of the visitors and that are located in the tower of one of the pinnacles of the façade, quite suddenly, we are above the starry vaults of the nave and the right starts here a special route, a route reserved for small groups who reserve a series of discoveries and emotions.
Guests can enjoy the scenic views and unique “inside” and “outside” of the cathedral. Spectacular stained glass windows by Ulisse De Matteis with the representation of the Apostles, the view from the top floor of the magical and the main sculptural monuments, indoor dome with the ‘Pantheon’ of the saints of Siena, the four patron, St. Catherine and St. Bernardino , the ‘giants’ gold that protect from the community of the faithful.
It then runs through the gallery of the dome from which you can admire the high altar, a copy of the window by Duccio di Buoninsegna, with the almond in the center of the Assumption, and the sculptural masterpieces.

di Nadia Fondelli – Le linee ferroviarie dismesse che nell’Ottocento hanno unito l’Italia che all’epoca ancora unita non era, sono oggi straordinari percorsi adatti a camminatori e pedalatori.
Molti sono stati ripresi dalla natura, ma su tanti, la dov’erano i binari oggi sono sentieri di percorsi affascinanti e straordinari fatti anche di antichi ponti e viadotti in pieda che scavallano colline e vallate.
Alcuni di essi sono stati recuperati totalmente e segnalati e così è per il percorso che vi proproniamo: il vecchio tracciato ferroviario fra Colle di Val d’Elsa e Poggibonsi, in disuso dal 1987, che è torna a vivere dallaa fine del 2011 con la realizzazione di una pista ciclo-turistico che si snoda per 8 chilometri di fascino nel verde, fra le due città valdelsane.
Pendenze minime e tracciato protetto quasi totalmente, vede i binari coperti per un buon utilizzo ciclabile da una pavimenttazione terrosa che conferisce un effetto di strada bianca.
Nei punti di attraversamento stradale la pavimentazione è diversa e dotata di una specifica segnaletica orizzontale e verticale, per avvertire i ciclisti, i pedoni e i conducenti di veicoli a motore della necessità di porre attenzione e di moderare la velocità.
Era la Colle-Poggibonsi una breve diramazione della Ferrovia Centrale Toscana, che congiungeva Siena a Empoli. Il ramo valdelsano fu aperto nel 1885 e chiuso all’esercizio commerciale nel 1987.
Il recupero di questa ex ferrovia voluto e concluso dai due comuni valdelsani è uno dei primi del genere in Toscana. Forse non è solo un caso che Colle sia una città a misura di camminatori ed esempio è l’ormai celebre “passeggiata” Colle-Mare di 80km. che si celebra ogni anno in primavera… ma quella è una cosa molto più da estremi…

I bar della cittadina termale aderenti a Confesercenti, come da tradizione allestiranno per residenti e turisti la tradizionale colazione di Pasqua.
Saranno numerosi i pubblici esercizi che, a partire dalle prime ore della mattina offriranno a residenti e turisti la “ciaccia”.
La “ciaccia” è un tipico impasto fatto con formaggio pecorino, servito insieme al capocollo ed al classico uovo sodo.
Una colazione pasquale per eccellenza da queste parti, forse magari un po’ pesante per i nostri palati avvezzi ad altro, ma un’occasione unica che segna anche in modo originale anche un buon auspicio per la stagione turistica, che abitualmente entra nel vivo in questa occasione.

di Nadia Fondelli -L’appuntamento è per domenica10 marzo, partendo e tornando da Piazza del Popolo di Semproniano. Un’ottima occasione per scoprire un angolo affascinate e poco noto di Toscana.
Quattro ore di passo adatto ad escursionisti di basso e medio livello per immergersi in un mondo fatto di natura, castelli e leggende.
L’itinerario organizzato e condotto dalla guida escursionistica-ambientale Carla Gae parte dal cuore del borgo medievale di Semproniano in Val d’Albegna e da qui si dirge verso l’antica pieve che si trova poco distante dal centro storico.
Una via che, attraverso una strada poderale porta ad tagliare gli oliveti del Paradisone e dopo aver attraversato la macchia saremo già alle porte del Castello dei Templari Rocchette di Fazio.
Sarà affascinante entrare fra il silenzio della natura nella porta del castello ce si presenta ancora pressoché intatto e arroccato su uno sperone roccioso che si affaccia sulle strette del Fiume Albegna con una panoramica d’eccezione su tutta l’Alta Valle dell’ Albegna fino alle Gole dell’Albegna presso Roccalbegna.
Diverse teorie suggeriscono la frequentazione stabile del Castello da parte dei Cavalieri dell’Ordine del Tempio. Oltre il supporto offerto da diverse incisioni – come la croce del Tempio della Pieve di Santa Cristina – potrebbe convalidare la tesi il fatto che il Castello delle Rocchette si trovi lungo la direttrice principale segnata dal Fiume Albegna, seguita dai pellegrini che provenivano dall’Abbazia di San Salvatore sull’Amiata diretti al porto di Talamone per imbarcarsi sulla rotta di Gerusalemme.
L’ Anello, che per la visita al borgo si arricchisce di intriganti racconti sui misteriosi Cavalieri del Tempio e interpretazione dei segni del loro passaggio presenti negli edifici ecclesiastici, è molto affascinante anche dal punto di vista naturalistico per le panoramiche e suggestivi scorci che offre lungo strade vicinali e mulattiere.
Prima di far ritorno a Semproniano – da dove parte l’itinerario – con una breve deviazione potremo affacciarci sul Fiume Albegna presso il Mulino Piccolomini, miracolosamente intatto dopo secoli di abbandono.
